Original review Dec 23, 2023
I purchased a $20 gold coin 2 days ago and I did not get no response after the purchase just only one email that I purchased it I been waiting for a track and number and to keep me updated they did not. I also ordered Rolex watches which they did email me back and responded that when they are going to be arriving by but for some reason that they are pretty quiet and not getting back to me on that $20 gold coin.

I sent four complaints about it but they still never got back to me.

If you can please help me figure why that they are so quiet and not sending me that information about that coin I'd appreciate it. Do a little investigating for me please thank you

Inquiry

I am wondering what is he going on with the property at 405 Bates Street Lodgepole Ne. It has been on auction at least 10 times. Then it said reserve met, then seller is taking live bids, now pending. Is it sold or not? Still on website saying pending pending what? Did it sale or not?

My home was taken illegally by US BANK and now is for sale in Auction.com, but the home is not in livable condition, it has been a tear down since 2007, auction.com is selling this home with a reserve of $175,000 which is more than the actual value of the property, the property needs a total rehab of $350K or more and will sell for around $400k, this in not an investment opportunity for consumers, I strongly suggest not bidding on this property at all, it has sold 3 times in auction.com, but buyers have refused to finalize the sale because of the condition of the pf the property, .Do not bid on this property!.

To place a bid on property they want to put a $2,500 hold on your credit card just to register. WELL I spent over an hour 7/3/19 trying to register for an auction, luckily I could not register do to that site being FLAGGED AS FRAUD thru my US Bank account.

Shill bidding leads to proxy bidding leads to exhaustion of your max bid.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bid 52555. The bid increment was then announced at 17.5k. (52500/17.5=3). The reserve was set at 52500. The bidding starts at 17.5. A proxy bid is made on my behalf to bring the price to 35k. A shill bid is made to bring the price to 52500. The reserve has thus been met. A proxy bid of $5 is made on my behalf. Were the bid Increments and reserve price manipulated by auction.com based on my high bid. You decide. They call this an "auction" and they want to ask you how it feels to be a winner. They use your desire for a deal to waive all legal rights, and then they threaten to take $2500 if you back away. If you did not do your "due diligence", then you could be out the entire purchase amount and more. They know the law because they wrote the law.

Winning bid but a few days later the auction was cancelled

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After winning the auction and after sending the earnest money and filling out the paperwork which took sometime since we are a new company, we received an email that the house had been removed from auction. I called and the receptionist and she hung up on me. Zach from auction.com does not return our phone calls. Now we have to call to get our money returned. We had to wire the money and that money was not returned. Avoid this auction site at all costs. This auction site is a complete scam. We used another auction for purchasing a house and everything was fine.

Run into issues with the closing agent representing Auction.com

Recently finished purchasing a home through Auction.com but had problems once I was assigned to a closing agent which did not return any of my phone calls and a fraction of my emails. Afterwards she even emailed me to respond to a link for a survey with no actual link in the email. I responded and again no return email.

Opening bid false

The opening bid they say it is, is nothing but a way to get you there. They never start with the opening bid amount at a live auction. They start with the amount owed not the opening bid amount. It is called false advertising. The reserves are never met until the amount that is owed is the bid. So when you see the estimated debt amount, this is where the bidding will start. Example; Meaning the debt of 110k is going to be the starting bid and the lenders max bid is the same, because the lender can bid against you. What a crock of s... Foreclosure Sale, SFR Est. Debt: $110,649 Est. Lender's Max Bid: Undisclosed Opening Bid: $65,000 Live Auction: Jul 02, 10:00am Active - Scheduled for Auction

We did our "due diligence" & a good thing we did!*!* The records appear to indicate the present owner is a local practicing realtor, still living in the home. His wife's name no longer appears to be on the deed, but THERE ARE NO GOVERNMENT LEINS FOR TAXES! Perhaps the taxes are paid up because the government has a different set of rules than the banks??? Banks are know to "pay cash for keys" in order for a borrower not to trash the property but if they still do not leave, it can go to a second party who can put it out to bid, i.e. auction.com Note: This is where it gets interesting. If someone is unfortunate enough to bid for & get the deed, they can be accused of trespassing (even with a deed), and they have the problem as the bank did of a squatter without a rental agreement they need to evict. Add to this, if & when your lawyer gets this to court, the squatter can claim the foreclosure was illegal and your nightmare has just started... My question is, why is this property up for auction exposing potential buyers to this nightmare? If the property is foreclosed on, why is it occupied without a clean path disclosed/ available to potential buyers?

Resolved: Auction.com claims my home is up for auction-NOT TRUE!

Updated by user Apr 24, 2018

They took my homes auction listing off their website stopping real estate flippers from harassing me and trying to get into my home to see what they were going to bid on. I had to call a Consumer Reporter at a local News station and when they made the threat to do a story about this listing, the auction was canceled immediately.

Showed on Auction.com website for almost 5 weeks and I believe they used it as "click bait". It is a way to show they have many people looking at their properties. I was harassed by flippers and it was unsafe for me to leave the property unattended.

My home was never up for auction, because I bought it outright and no mortgage. They promote you to do your Due Diligence, but they don't practice what they preach.

Updated by user Apr 24, 2018

They removed the auction listing! It actually shows Auction Canceled.

This is what I had to do. I called a consumer news reporter at a local TV station. I emailed the information and after about 2 weeks they called them and told Auction.com that the News Station was doing a story about this listing.

It was canceled within an hour. Thanks Call Kurtis!

Updated by user Apr 06, 2018

I finally found the number to call Auction.com. The person that answered it was on some sort of VOIP phone that was fuzzy sounding.

I told them the problem and they said they would tell their supervisor. NOT A THING HAS HAPPENED! It still shows up as and Auction on April 24, 2018. I contacted ZILLOW.com and have not heard a thing either.

Their statements about wanting to know if a property is not listed right is pure B.S. I had to yank the front door open last night while some guy who only spoke Spanish was trying to bump the lock. He ran off. I am now sleeping downstairs next to the front door.

If I can sleep. I was told by a real estate agent that Auction.com and Zillow.com use fake postings as click bait. The more clicks on their websites the more they can brag about being the biggest on the net.

I was also told they are so big and have such high power attorneys that they could care less. Now I know why so many people are going Postal nowadays!

Original review Mar 22, 2018
What is with these people? I bought my home and closed on March 9, 2018 but on March 14 2018, Auction.com claimed it is up for auction as a foreclosure. I have tried to get them to answer an email, but they won't listen. It shows up sold on most other sites. The big problem are the people coming and peering into the windows and rattling the doorknobs because of it being on the Auction.com website. It shows to not disturb occupant, but these flippers are ruthless. I am afraid to move more valuable things into the home. I tried calling Auction.com's phone number but it is just menu after menu and no one answers. I have the grant deed, but I don't feel I have to answer to someone just walking up to the door. I will show it to the Sheriff's Dept. Auction.com is causing me great stress.

What Auction

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I looked online at Auction.com and found a house I was interested in. Did some research and went to the bank to make sure I was covered for the amount needed. I followed Zillow...went to the tax pages, and generally did my homework. I went to Clay County courthouse and waited for an auction that did not happen. Since the building is small I walked around. Nothing...Nothing.! I wasted my time. Wrote Auction.com and they replied, "the auction took place on the north steps". Really? I was there and no auction or gathering of people happened. It seems (to me) that Auction.com runs a scam.

If it’s not a scam than what?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Auction.com held an auction in Hagerstown MD by a 3rd party. No information was posted about property and when you call them their staff is as ignorant as it can be. But i signed up anyway and took $2500. As it is requested but 3rd partly auctioneer showed up and demanded $9000. Before anyone can bid. I complained this to Auction.com rep who was present there and she acknowledged the conflict but kept her lips sealed. But I decided to go along with $9000. Deposit and asked auctioneer to provide basic info about house but he was rude and arrogant and refused to provide any info saying if you want participate in auction that’s how it’s going to be or leave his auction which was being held outside the courthouse so I refused to leave cuz it was not being held at his property. When I did not leave he said now even if I paid $9000 deposit he would not let me participate in his auction. After heated back and forth I decided not to participate in this auction. Auction.com is a bad bad company and I wouldn’t suggest anyone to do any business with them.
